Two sides of me

Bonjour ma Cheries,

Let's talk about style. I have quite a problem when it comes to describing my style. One day I will feel edgy and tough and I will dress like a rocker with loads of leather, tartan and big wide (band) shirts. The next day I will feel really girly and bright and I will dress like a girly girl with loads of pastels, flowers and lace inspired by the 60's.  But there are also days when I mix those two styles and create something what probably looks like a granny dress with biker boots and some tartan. It really depends on how I'm feeling and what I have planned for that day.
I kind of admire people who really know what their style is. They know what looks good on them and still try new things but always look good. But when some one asks me 'What is you style?' I'll probably aswer with something like 'Depends on my feelings' or 'Depends on the day' and that's it. I just find it really hard to make a choise of what fits me best. Maybe both of those styles do, I don't really know, but for now I will just swing from 'Rocker' to 'Flower girl' and I kind of like it.

What is your style?

Lots of Love, Rosa

DIY 'nail art'

Bonjour ma Cheries,

Today's post will be a DIY which I'm quite excited about! It was really fun and simple to do and only took one hour at most. It actually looks really cute on a shelve as a decoration or you can even give it to someone as a gift!

I'd love to see it if you've recreated this DIY so send me a picture of it on my Instagram or twitter @atouchofrosa

Lots of Love,
Rosa

So the things you will need are:

- a piece of wood in the shape you like (I chose simple square)
-nails
- a hammer
- wool yarn in any colour you like

Start with cutting the shape you want to make out of paper so you have a stencil.
Then place it onto the wood. The best thing to do is to tape the stencil to the wood so it won't move.

Then start hitting the nails into the wood with your hammer. Place the nails about two centimeters apart from each other. And once you're done remove the stencil.

Tie the end of your yarn to one of the nails. I chose the bottom one because that's the best to start with.
Then go around all the nials randomly with your yarn until you have done all of them. Keep on tying the yarn to the nails but make sure you eventually follow the line of your shape.
Then keep on doing that until you have something around three layers of yarn between every two nails.

So if you've chosen a heart shape like me it should look something like this!

Jewelry

Bonjour ma Cheries,

I bought some really nice jewelry last week and I wanted to share it with you. I´ts all from SIX. Everything is from the sale section where they were selling for 1 or 2 euros each and it was also ´buy 2 get one free´. So I couln´t stop myself from buying... For all together I think I spent 20 euros!

Are you a sale shopper?

Lots of love,
Rosa

Footwear

Bonjour ma Cheries,

I have been shopping online last week and I ordered some new footwear! I'm really excited about it because it's quite different from what I usually wear. And it was on sale so that was a nice bonus. I'll just show you what I bough rather than talk about it for much longer.

Both of the shoes are from ASOS, and they were in the sale for around 45 euros.
The socks are all from TOPSHOP and they were 3 for 10 euros.
The tights are from Primark.

Lots of Love,
Rosa

Exhibition at ModeFabiek January 2014

Bonjour ma Cheries,

Last weekend  I was lucky enough to be able to exhibit my collection 'The Love Club' on the 'Modefabriek'.
This was the prize I won on the MAFB competition together with two other designers.

Modefabriek is a fashion fair held in The Amsterdam RAI twice a year. It's a fair for new, unique and high quality brands. So it was quite an honour to be there. Even more fun was that loads of people came up to me and wanted to know more about my collection. I'm even featured on two blogs!
ItsMeRoxy and ModelProfile . I had so many nice reactions, it was definatly a succesfull weekend.
