Fashion Design Competition MAFB

Bonjour ma Cheries,

I have something very exciting to tell. Some of you may already know it but I'm going to tell it anyway. This 'Big' thing has by the way also been the reason why I haven't posted anything for a while.

I have been selected to compeat in a fashion design competition with 17 other designers. I'm the youngest one and I have the least experience wich makes me a bit nervous but I am also really, really, excited!
We have to design and make four catwalk outfits. I've decided to go with a lot of pastel colours, flowers and some Barbie dolls. I'm not going to tell nor show you what it will look like because I want to keep it a surprise and I also haven't finished yet. I have chosen four friends who will be my models and they are going to show it on the 24th of November.

A few weeks ago, We (all the designers) were invited to follow a masterclass, where loads of interesting people told a lot of very usefull information. That was also the day we got to meet all of our 'rivals'. Every single one of them has soo much talent! And all of them are already studing at designing academics or art schools and stuff like that. And then there is me. The sixteen year old girl from the tiniest village ever who is still in High school and tought herself how to sew. I think this competition is going to be very interesting! haha. But this doesn't stop me to try as hard as I possibly can to reach the level of the others.

I'm working very hard every day to be finished by the 24th of Novermber, wich is already a challenge itself. But anyway hopefully I will reach my goals and end not as last.

Camping in Toscane, Italy

Bonjour ma Cheries,

Today's post is the last one of three about my holiday and it's about my camping trip to Toscane, Italy. I was invited to go there with my niece and her parents. We stayed in a Caravan (with AC luckly) and it was really hot, alteast 35 degrees celsius! We made daytrips to Sienna, Vinci and Florence. We had pizza and pasta ofcourse. The other days we spent at the pools, yes pools, there were two. At night my niece, Hannah, and I went to the 'disco' and we met some lovely british and irish people. They were all so nice and we had the best time ever. It was just really fun!

A Week in Portugal

Bonjour ma Cheries,

Today's post is the second of my three holiday posts. I was invited to stay one week with my friend Charlotte and her family in Portugal. I had an amazing time and it was so much fun. We went to Lisbon, the beach and to a little village nearby. The weather was lovely altough a little too hot for my taste. I got the oppertunity to tatse some typical Portugese dishes and I actually enjoyed it.

The house we stayed in was massive. We all had our private bedrooms and it had tree bathrooms. The terrace was lovely and the pool was just perfect. We also spent some days at the pool reading and swimming. I read tho books: Summer and The City and Safe Haven, I'm in love with these books. They were just so good. We used the grill twice and melted marshmallows.

I flew there and back home by myself for ther very first time so that was  exciting. I do fly quite a lot but this was really different. But overall it was just really fun!

Favorite Blogger of the Month

Today it's time for blogger of the month! This month I chose Zoe Sugg also known as Zoella. She has the loveliest blog ever. She  writes about her daily life and about fashion and make-up. She also makes youtube videos (where most of you probably know her from). Every week I get all excited and stuff for her to post a new video. She does Hauls, Favorites, lifestyle videos and a lot of collabs. The reason I picked Zoe as blogger of the month is because she has a lovely style, she knows how to work with make-up and she always looks stunning. She is definately a role model for me.

Life Update

Bonjour Ma Cheries,

Today's post is a little life and instagram update! Quite a few things happened these last few weeks. To start, I went to see One Direction's movie 'This is Us'. I loved it! They're all so funny, hot and cute...
I also went shopping with a friend of mine. I will do a blogpost about this as soon as possible!
And last school started.... sadly enough I have to re-do my fourth year. But to brighten it a bit up I bought some very colourfull supplies. I love reading comments so feel free to comment what fun or nice things you did these last few weeks!

Daytrips to Cote d'Azur

Bonjour Ma Cheries,

This summer I went to three different countries and that's why I wil be doing three different posts about my Holiday. First I was in the south of France for two weeks wich was lovely. We made a few daytrips to the coast. I was with my family these two weeks. We didn't do that much just some relaxing, swimming and sunbathing but it was nice. We made a daytrip to Cannes where we did some shopping, had lunch and went to a little shop where they had these containers with little fish in it who eat your dead skin. We had to sit down and put our feet into the container. It was really fun and ticklish. We also went to a harbour near Nice where we had lunch and went swimming in the sea with two of my friends who were also in France.

I had a great time in France. I hope you had a nice holiday too, comment where you went and what you did.

Autumn/Winter 2013 Trends

Hi guys, I'm so sorry I didn't post anything the last few weeks! I should have but I was extremely buizzy and I was on holiday. I will post something about that too soon! Sooo as most of you probably already noticed the autumn and winter collections are in the stores! Wich makes me very excited. I loveeee finding out about all the new trends and collections. That's why I made you a list with the trends I really like his autumn. Let's starts:

Oversized
We already knew this trend but it's also coming back this upcoming season. I really like it. It's really cozy and warm. I like it if I can drown in a nice and big sweater.

                

 

Plaid Shirts
Yes think of Scottish plaidprints.They have to be oversized though. I like to wear them with the front tugged into my jeans and a pair of allstars. Just to give you a comfy tomboyish look.

                

 


Minimalism
I like this trend because it's simple. Think of black, white and grey simple items. It may sound boring but I think it could be really chic and also comfy. Combine black, white and grey plain shirts and a pair of black jeans with some boots or allstars or even heels.

Okay so those tree are the tree main trends I will be enjoying this season.
